Create a Fall Pennsylvania Wine Cocktail

This Apple Butter + Wine cocktail, elevated by a sugar and ground thyme rim, is a perfect partner with a roaring fire or an evening spent outside under a wool blanket. Serve it alongside a spread of local cheeses, salty spiced nuts, and seasonal fruits.

Apple Butter + Wine Cocktail


  • Pennsylvania Apple Cider
  • Sugar
  • Ground Thyme
  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 oz. Apple Brandy
  • 3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz PA Apple Wine
  • 1 tsp PA Apple Butter


  1. Combine sugar and ground thyme on a small dish.
  2. Dip the rim of your glass into a small bowl of Pennsylvania apple cider, then dip into the sugar and ground thyme mixure. Set the glass aside.
  3. Drop one ice cube into your shaker and add 1 1/2 oz. of apple brandy, 3/4 oz. of fresh lemon juice, 1/2 oz. of PA Apple Wine, 1 tsp of PA apple butter, and 1 oz of PA apple cider.
  4. Shake vigorously.
  5. Pour drink into glass and enjoy!
