Before there were vines, there was tobacco, corn, soybeans, and wheat. But in 1997, Jan Waltz, a sixth generation Lancaster County farmer, dedicated his family’s land to growing vinifera grapes and producing estate wines.

After years of trial and error, this very special soil produces 7,500 cases of wine per year, wines known for complex minerality, rich tannins, and lively acidity. Check out this video to learn more about the history of Waltz Vineyards and what makes this particular place on earth an exciting spot to craft wines.
