Southwest Passage

About this Wine Trail

Each of the Southwest Passage Wine Trail‘s eight wineries, all located southeast of Pittsburgh, provides a unique experience of their own. Along the way, explore the mountains and valleys of southwestern Pennsylvania and take a scenic side trip through the vacationer’s paradise known as the Laurel Highlands.

Tips for Visiting

Tucked away along the Southwest Passage trail is ‘Fallingwater‘, a National Historic Landmark and architectural gem designed by America’s most famous architect, Frank Lloyd Wright. The only Wright-designed home open to the public, Fallingwater appears to float on top of the 30-foot waterfall upon which it is built. After exploring this trail, stay the night at one of the Laurel Highland’s acclaimed resorts and enjoy golf, skiing, wildlife centers, spa services, shopping, and fine dining.
