After studying wine making in Germany in the 1950s and teaching wine making in the U.S. since 1960s, Dr. Wolf established the winery in 1982. The winery produces over 6,000 cases of wine and performs wine making and distilling operations on location in a distinctive style compatible with the Lake Erie micro-climate. There are over 20 sweet to dry wines, sparkling wines, hard ciders, ports, vermouth, and distilled spirits. Visitors are welcome to sample for free the award winning-wines; tour the bonded cellar and oak barrel room, see the copper stills, browse the gift shop, and relax under the picnic pavilion.
