PA Preferred® Announces New Marketing Grant

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture is excited to announce a new marketing grant for PA Preferred®, PA Preferred Homegrown By Heroes, and PA Preferred Organic™ members/licensees.

The purpose of the grant program is to provide grants to eligible PA Preferred, PA Preferred Homegrown By Heroes, and PA Preferred Organic licensees/members to further the objectives of the PA Preferred Act. These include providing grants to assist with:

Offsetting the cost of designing or redesigning product labels to include the PA Preferred, PA Preferred Homegrown By Heroes, or PA Preferred Organic logo.
Updating on-farm signs and market displays to include the PA Preferred, PA Preferred Homegrown By Heroes or PA Preferred Organic logo.
Enhancing farmers’ market displays with the PA Preferred, PA Preferred Homegrown By Heroes or PA Preferred Organic logo.

The Department will make available $500,000 for these grants through the PA Preferred program. The grants will be reimbursable with each grantee having the opportunity to be awarded up to $10,000. The Department will reimburse grantees up to 85 percent of their grant-related costs.

This opportunity is available only to current PA Preferred, PA Preferred Homegrown by Heroes, or PA Preferred Organic licensees in good standing who hold an active PA Preferred Trademark and Licensing Agreement with the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture at the time of application submission.
