For over 30 years, Blue Mountain Vineyards & Cellars have produced a wide range of wines from grapes grown in the Lehigh Valley AVA. The microclimate (characterized by dry summers and long cool autumns) is perfect for ripening grapes and similar to that of the northern Burgundy region of France, as well as the southern part of the Loire Valley. Pair that with soil that is rich with shale and limestone, and you have a recipe for tasty "old world" style wines.
