Greendance - The Winery at Sand Hill

Greendance is a Pennsylvania winery located on a 120-acre working farm and is conveniently located near 119 south of New Stanton and Greensburg. It all began in 1982 when the owners decided to purchase and revive an abandoned farm on the edge of Mount Pleasant, PA. They were surprised to learn that the property contained thousands of raspberry plants that grew into the small fruits business that it is today, Sand Hill Berries. Once the fields were restored with new berries and heirloom variety orchards, the owners gradually began to realize that the fruits could be made into pure fruit wines and that their expertise in cultural practices would accommodate the production of quality hybrid vinifera grapes to provide a full spectrum of wines. The new winery was planned for many years, but the demands of fruit growing and various regulatory issues stalled the dream. Finally, in autumn of 2007, Greendance – The Winery at Sand Hill was consummated and opened in September of that year. Today, Greendance Winery offers free tastings every day in our welcoming tasting bar that includes a gift shop filled with wine accessories, gourmet foods, and glassware.
