Mingo Creek Cellars

Every story has a beginning—and ours started in 2011.

Back then, we weren’t exactly wine enthusiasts—mostly because we hadn’t truly been introduced to what great wine could be. That changed when we were given a bottle of wine as a gift. We opened it, took a sip, and thought, Wait... wine can taste like this? That single bottle sparked a journey.

From there, we started visiting winery trails with friends and eventually explored nearly every major wine region in the United States. Naturally, the questions followed—How is wine made? How long is it aged? Where do the grapes come from?—and with those questions came an interest in making wine ourselves. What started as a casual hobby quickly grew into a passion. Friends would say, You’re going to make this a career someday. I always laughed and said, Nope, just a hobby.

That changed when our daughter got engaged. We were asked to make wine for the wedding, only to learn the venue required wine from a licensed winery—not a home winemaker. With a little encouragement from friends in the industry, we took the leap. We realized this wasn’t just a hobby anymore—it was a calling. Our goal became simple: to make great wine and share it with others.

Mingo Creek Cellars was born from that passion. Located in the heart of southwestern Pennsylvania, our winery is rooted in both tradition and innovation. Our land holds history—it was once part of the Mingo Creek settlement during the Whiskey Rebellion—and we honor that legacy in every bottle. Surrounded by the beauty of Pennsylvania’s rolling hills, we strive to craft wines that tell a story: one of family, history, and a love for the art of winemaking.
